In the Shard of Alara known as Jund, viashinos have a crocodilian appearance and organize themselves in groups known as thrashes. So far, viashinos from three thrashes have appeared on cards: the Thorn thrash, the Carrion thrash, and the Thunder thrash.

In Grixis, necromancers have found viashino's remains and managed to resurrect them as zombies or skeletons.
