The Azorius Senate was a clan on MTG Salvation inspired by the Azorius Senate guild from the Ravnica block set Dissension. The clan's two main colors are white and blue.

The Azorius Senate Clan, like the namesake the Azorius Senate, is an intellectual guild which believes "knowledge is power". The Azorius are absolutely hierarchical, and believe that their laws and the preservation of those laws are responsible for maintaining the Guildpact.

| We the founding members of the Azorius Senate Clan, for the purpose of providing structure, control and fair discourse, do hereby formally organize our rules, rituals and procedures into the form of the Grand Constitution of the Azorius Senate Clan. We have created the Azorius Senate Clan for the discussion and advancement of the magics created of White and Blue mana and for upholding the principles that they stand for - Law, Peace, Order, and Knowledge.

1. Procedure

| Any issue that does not require a three-fourths vote can be resolved by a poll. Clan members (hereafter “Senators”) may petition for a poll to be opened. If their petition is upheld by a second senator, that poll is opened. Senators can change their votes as long as the poll is still open. A poll is awarded to the winner of a simple majority; once this happens the poll is closed. If any poll would result in a tie, the Clan Leader must cast a vote to break that tie. Any senators on the inactive list (hereafter “Stasis Cell”) will only count towards the total number of senators if they are returned to full membership while the poll remains open. Any poll that is still open two weeks after creation, with the exception of those with the purpose of electing a senator to a clan position, will be closed immediately.

| The job of the Clan Leader is to provide guidance and leadership for the Azorius Senate Clan and keep an active, current and informative list of members and friends. If the Clan Leader petitions to open a poll, that petition does not need to be upheld by a second senator in order for a poll to be opened. The Clan Leader may not vote in polls and does not count toward the total number of Senators. If any poll would result in a tie, the Clan Leader must cast a vote to break that tie. If at any time there is no Clan Leader, a poll is opened to resolve the matter. Any senator may petition for the position of Clan Leader at such a time, but their petition must be upheld by a second senator for nomination. Any senator who can give probable cause for the recall of the Clan Leader may petition for his or her removal. If this petition is upheld by a second senator, a poll is opened to resolve the matter. The Clan Leader may resign at any time.

| The job of the Clan Representative is to represent the interests of the Azorius Senate Clan in the Clan Council thread. If at any time there is no Clan Representative, a poll is opened to resolve the matter. Any senator may petition for the position of Clan Representative at such a time, but their petition must be upheld by a second senator for nomination.The Clan Leader may also appoint a Clan Representative at such a time, subject to confirmation from the Senate. Any senator who can give probable cause for the recall of the Clan Representative may petition for his or her removal. If this petition is upheld by a second senator, a poll is opened to resolve the matter. The Clan Representative may resign at any time.

| The job of the Clan Secretary is to keep track of polls and votes and keep and update an organized post to provide that information. The Clan Secretary is also to fulfill the jobs of Clan Leader and/or Clan Representative if the aforementioned are unable or unwilling to fulfill their responsibilities. The Clan Leader and Clan Representative are considered unable or unwilling to fulfill their responsibilities if they are in the Stasis Cell, have created a post saying as such, or have resigned or been dismissed from their duties and their positions are in the process of being filled. If at any time there is no Clan Secretary, a poll is opened to resolve the matter. Any senator may petition for the position of Clan Secretary at such a time, but their petition must be upheld by a second senator for nomination. The Clan Leader may also appoint a Clan Secretary at such a time, subject to confirmation from the Senate. If the Clan Secretary is put into the Stasis Cell, he or she is immediately dismissed from the position. Any senator who can give probable cause for the recall of the Clan Secretary may petition for his or her removal. If this petition is upheld by a second senator, a poll is opened to resolve the matter. The Clan Secretary may resign at any time.

| The job of each Senator is to remain active and to vote in polls. Each active Senator is assigned one vote per poll. An inactive Senator is subject to the procedure detailed in Article III, Section 3, "Inactivity". Any Senator who can show probable cause for the recall of another Senator may petition for his or her removal. If this petition is upheld by a second Senator, a poll is opened to resolve the matter. Any Senator may resign at any time, subject to the procedure detailed in Article III, Section 4, “Discharge”.

| Anyone with at least twenty-five total posts may petition to become a member. Once a nominee has done so, a poll is opened to allow that nominee membership. Nominees who are rejected are automatically added to the friend list unless he or she requests otherwise.

| Anyone who petitions to become a friend is automatically added to the friend list.

| Any senator who has not posted for two weeks is moved to the Stasis Cell. Any senator who has been in the Stasis Cell for thirty days shall be moved to the friends list and must reapply for membership. Any senator who holds or has held the Clan Leader, Clan Representative, or Supreme Founder will be held indefinitely in the Stasis Cell unless probable cause is given for their removal.

| Any senator with probable cause may petition for the honorable or dishonorable discharge of another senator. If another senator seconds that petition, a three-fourths vote of all active senators is required to discharge that senator. Any senator not already under review for discharge may choose to be honorably discharged at any time. Any senator honorably discharged will automatically be placed on the friends list unless he or she requests otherwise.

| The ratification of this Constitution requires a three-fourths vote of all active senators.

| Any senator may petition for amendment of this Constitution after ratification. If their petition is upheld, a three-fourths vote from of all active senators is required for that amendment to take effect. Any additions to this Constitution after ratification shall be put in brackets ([ ]). Any deletions to this Constitution after ratification shall be denoted by the crossing out of the deleted sections.
