[edit] Retirement

On August 29, 2008, votan retired as a global moderator, due to his lack of time.[1]

Well, this post serves to annouce my remotion from mod duties on this site.

I have been a Member on MTGS since 2005 and I've been a mod for about 2 of those years (more or less). I've seen people come and go, affairs appear and be solved and the site has kept its strength, so I am not worried. Earlier this week me and Lesurgo both agreed that my current availability for the site no longer justifies me being a mod and we both decided I should step down. I didn't quit and I wasn't removed. The thing is, when I first joined the Mod team, it wasn't about being a mod or having power, it was about having free time and being able to help make this a better site. The thing is that nowadays I don't think the time I do have serves the site in the best way, so I agree that I should step down and let someone with more time (and new ideas) take my place. The ones of you who know me know that I always acted in favor of the site and this is just one more step in that direction. I may return one day, if I have the time to dedicate and if they want me back, but I don't see that happening in the near future, so I just wanted to say why I'm leaving and making sure everyone understands that this a mutual agreement and that I am the first one to admit that I don't deserve this position anymore (considering the time I have to dedicate to it). That said, I'll continue to be around and posting, so I'm not leaving the site. It's just that I can post whenever I want without being obliged to be online frequently and that's the most I can do these days. So, this isn't a goodbye, but since I'm leaving the site, I want to leave some props for the ppl I've worked with over the years: …

YuanTi was chosen as a replacement global moderator.[2]
