Threshold
From MTG Salvation Wiki
Threshold is an ability word that gives a card different or additional characteristics if its controller has seven or more cards in his or her graveyard. It was introduced in Odyssey.
Threshold can be many things, but the common thing is that it is active when the controller of the card with threshold has seven or more cards in his or her graveyard. It's written either "Threshold — As long as there are seven or more cards in your graveyard, [static ability], [self-replacement], [activated ability] and/or [triggered ability]"; or "Threshold — [static ability], [self-replacement], [activated ability] and/or [triggered ability]. Play this ability only if seven or more cards are in your graveyard"; or Threshold — [static ability], [self-replacement], [activated ability] and/or [triggered ability]. Play this ability only any time you could play a sorcery, and only if seven or more cards are in your graveyard.."

[edit] Rulings
- If a threshold ability of a spell or permanent is a static ability, the number of cards in its controller's graveyard is continually checked.
- If a threshold ability of a spell is a self-replacement that changes the effect of that spell, the number of cards in its controller's graveyard is checked as the spell resolves. It is not checked when the spell is played.
- If a threshold ability of a permanent is an activated ability, the number of cards in the permanent's controller's threshold is checked when that player tries to play the ability. It is not checked when the ability resolves.
- If a threshold ability of a permanent is a triggered ability, the number of cards in the permanent's controller's graveyard is checked both when that ability would trigger and when that ability would resolve. If the player has less than seven cards in his or her graveyard when the ability would trigger, it won't trigger. If the player has less than seven cards in his or her graveyard when the ability would resolve, the ability does nothing.
