The Called is a MTG Salvation clan where all members have equal standing. The Called has an eclectic variety of personalities, which often results in "stinkin' hot forum drama, mama!" Besides being one of the most (in)famous and active clans on MTG Salvation, The Called also has a weird fascination for thread titles with the word "nipples" in it.

Daggertooth reminisces on our origins; "At first there was just one clan... the Called, based on the idea of rumor gathering and discussion. I am unsure if there were any clans before vb bulletin, though I was around at that time. We were huge too, with no limits and no clear understanding of what a clan would be. There was no clan section at that time and there was strong debate about the merit of creating a clan section.
"At that time I did not belong to a clan and was quite active in the politics and debate of the site in general. It was my opinion then that a clan section would be a waste of space. I did not consider the numbers interested in clans sufficient enough and I figured that the idea would die relatively quickly. As such I campaigned against it... rancored_elf happened to be my strongest opponent in the debates that followed, though others spoke their opinion. Obviously time proved me wrong. It was an interesting beginning and as far as I recall we really were the very first clan created."
