[edit] Guidelines

Here are some general guidelines regarding the storyline portion of the wiki. These are not hard and fast rules but suggestions based on past experience.

[edit] Footnotes, references and sources

In the beginning we just tried to cover as many topics as possible. The next step was adding information to the pages. Now we need to make that information accurate and verifiable.

Basically, every storyline entry should at least list a source, either a printed media or an article on magicthegathering.com (see List of storyline sources).

[edit] Manual of Style

Follow the MTG Salvation Wiki:Manual of Style. You don't have to read it in its entirety, if you read a couple of storyline articles, you should have a fairly good idea of how a page should look like.

[edit] Speculation

Try to avoid any speculation. Usually, stating what might be or might happen does not add any information to an article. If you have to, you should at least have (and list) some indication that backs your theory.

[edit] Projects

While it is possible to find work using the random page link, it is sometimes easier to work on related pages.

Here is a list of projects, where help is appreciated. Feel free to add your own project if need help!

[edit] Lorwyn/Shadowmoor

As one of the most recent settings, the world of Lorwyn/Shadowmoor has a high priority. Many Lorwyn pages are still stubs; most notably of whcih is the Lorwyn (plane) article. Others, such as Rhys, need sub-sections and internal links.

For a list of Lorwyn related articles see Category:Lorwyn-Shadowmoor

[edit] Book summaries

Most book pages just have a blurb and no further information.

For a list see category:Publications
