[edit] Moderatorship
Due to an increase in activity in then-global moderator nan's life, nan stepped down as a moderator of the Standard forum and Lotus was chosen to replace nan in that capacity on September 10, 2007.[1]
| “ | He has been involved in the forum for a long time, he is respectful and makes his point while retaining friendliness, and he has a good sense for what's good around the community. Not to mention, he is a great player and his competitive eye is helpful, not only in educating members, but in knowing which decks are competitive in the constantly shifting format of Standard.[1] | ” |
[edit] Resignation
On Novemeber 19, 2008, Johm000 was added as a Block Constructed and Standard replacement moderator, after Lotus resigned.[2][3]
His stepping-down was motivated by mounting real-life pressures:
| “ | My life has been really busy lately with school, work, girlfriend, etc. I really haven't been able to find time to play magic[sic], I haven't played in an actual sanctioned tournament in months. So, I decided it would probably be in the best interest of the site if I were to step down as a moderator for someone who is willing to devote more time to the position. It's been a lot of fun moderating, and hopefully I'll be able to post more frequently again once my life becomes a bit less hectic. | ” |
