kashmyr was added to the moderator staff in early 2006, to help moderate the Standard (Type 2) forum, along with Onikani and Lesurgo.
He is the creator of the thread, which led to the creation of the Type 2 Competitive Forums.[1]

On 24 May, 2007, kashmyr announced his retirement as a Type 2 (Standard) moderator, leaving the Standard (Type 2) forum for nan and Lesurgo to moderate. The reasons as to his retirement are revealed in his post:
| “ | I was a moderator due to a sense of community and trying to help people in this game. Now that the boards turning into an "us versus them" atmosphere, I don't feel that I have that sense of community anymore and therefore, it's probably best that I step away.
I did my best to stay out of the drama which seems to come from a small handful of posters who used it for their own motives, but I was unsuccessful and ended up putting myself in a situation where a questionable decision turned into much more then it ever should've.[2] | ” |
