Jarad vod Savo, or simply Jarad, was one of the main characters of the first novel in the Ravnica cycle, although he didn't appear for awhile. He was Savra's brother and eventually took over the Golgari Swarm when she died.
In the Dissension novel, it is revealed he was married to Fonn Zunich and has a child named Myc (Myczil Savod Zunich in full name, honoring Fonn Zunich's father Myczil Zunich and bearing Jarad's own family name); he was ultimately killed by Izolda in a Rakdos ritual that was meant to free Myc from the mind-bond with Rakdos the Defiler, but he managed to revive his own corpse. He remains a Golgari guildmaster as a zombie/lich.
