Janus of the Synod

Janus of the Synod was one of the chief members of the vedalken Synod of Lumengrid on Mirrodin. Janus was himself the vedalken's chief representative to their master, Memnarch. Janus was initially defeated by Glissa Sunseeker, but later led his people in a revolution that completely reformed the structure of the Synod. The full effects of this restructure were not revealed.

Janus was also a Greco-Roman god with two faces, often alluded to in literature as a symbol of duplicity.
