[edit] Online activity
[edit] MTG Salvation
During his first several months on the site, he had very little activity before becoming a more active posting mostly in the Humor and Water Cooler Talk forums. Though during this time he had little over all face time, and was still not well known.
[edit] Kroen incident
During early April 2008, Guardman became a much better-known member because of his responses and attitude on the Kroen Activity thread. On this thread while not explicitly stating or supporting Kroen's actions, showed a certain amount of admiration and curiosity in Kroen's repeated, and surprisingly successful, attempts at creating new accounts on Salvation, even going so far as to call him a phenomenom. This caused outrage among several members, the most vocal of which were Saphire Tri and WUBRGspellsMagic. Saphire Tri even went as far as to demand an IP check on Guardman, as he suspected that Guardman might actually be another Kroen gimmick account, which was proven not to be the case.
It was in light of this incident that Guardman made his well-known "Where in the world is Kroen?" banner. Guardman has also claimed to have talked to Kroen and has said that overall he finds Kroen an interesting person to talk to and undeserving of the amount of hate that he recieves.
[edit] "The Thread of Sin, Evil, and 50,000 posts"
Guardman was an active poster on "The Thread of Sin, Evil, and 50,000 posts" before it was closed because of Filth, jimbyob, and Netran. He still maintains to this day that Hannes reaction to the events of the thread were extreme and that the bannings of Filth, jimbyob, and Netran were unjust and should be revoked.
[edit] "Vs."
Guardman is currently one of the contributors and is in charge of all Vs. threads in the Water Cooler Talk forum.

[edit] Clan affiliation
Guardman is the founder and clan representative of the MTG Salvation clan The Æsir which was ported from the popular MTGNews clan of the same name. Despite having a Norse mythology theme the overall goal and purpose of the clan is to have a place to have a good time, where anything anybody wants can be discussed.
In keeping with the Norse mythology theme of the clan, each member and friend of the clan must have a God title. Guardman's original God title on the MTGNews version was "God of *smirk* and Turn-Based Lifeforms" before becoming "Eternal God of Winter". He has only been "Eternal God of Winter" on MTG Salvation though.
[edit] MTGNews
Guardman is more known on MTGNews than on MTG Salvation, where he is known for his sense of humor, detailed posts, and his use of "*smirk*". Because of his overall weird, but friendly demeanor, detailed posting, and sense of humor, he was promoted to the post of Firestarter, whose job is to increase site activity and draw new members. He joined MTGNews on May 9, 2008, his twentieth birthday because of a friend of his from MTG Salvation, Psi.
[edit] Book
Book was a comic strip done by Guardman on MTGNews that premered every Sunday. It followed the life of Dire Bere and his "head-cat" Wolf. It was quite popular and generally well-recieved on the site, despite Guardman only drawing seven strips. The regular updates were stopped after seven strips because of scanner problems and Guardman returning to college. He did state that he would continue to draw new strips. But as of yet, no new strips have been posted.
[edit] Battle of the Newsers
Guardman's popularity on the site may best be shown by the fact that he made it to the finals of the Battle of the Newsers, a popularity contest of several well-known members on the site. In the quarter finals he beat out his self-proclaimed arch-nemisis, other than Wilford Brimley, Selvaxri. In the semi-finals he beat out Shenron. He was eventually beaten out in the finals by Weedmonkey, a moderator on the site, and winner of the first Battle of the Newsers. The very fact that Guardman made it to the finals came as quite a surprise as not only were Selvaxri and Shenron long-time, well-respected, and well-liked members on MTGNews, but Guardman was the newest member to participate and the only member to participate with less than 1000 posts (the benchmark for a custom title on MTGNews).
[edit] Personal life
Guardman currently resides in Milwaukee, WI where he is a Junior at Marquette University, studying Entrepreneurship and Real Estate. His permanent residence and home town is Glen Ellyn, IL, where his mother, father, and little sister reside.
During his free time he is known to mostly play Magic (mostly Limited and Legacy), read books, and write.
