As a member of the MTG Salvation forums, god of cyanide is known for his outspoken "liberal" stances, and co-hosts "The Evil Liberal Propaganda Network", a streaming-radio program and podcast, with a long-time friend of his.

god of cyanide is the founder and leader of the clan NYC Dark Knights, a clan for MtGSers in the New York City Tri-State area. He is a friend to Reign of Blood, and a former member and friend of clan 499.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, god of cyanide spent much of his youth moshing at heavy metal shows and school dances, and partying hard with various groups of people, most notably the Foster Nation (TFN). He has played bass and guitar for a variety of bands in a variety of styles (none of them going further than local clubs). His tastes in music cover a wide array of heavy metal and experimental artists; his favorites include Slayer, Meshuggah, Aphex Twin, Stereolab, Sonic Youth, and Einsturzende Neubauten.
During his college years, suffering from a long bout of depression, he wrote much of the material found in "disillusion asylum", the archive of his poetic attempts at self-therapy. After many years spent in college aimlessly learning about life, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. He now earns a living as a teacher's assistant at his old high school, a private tutor (mostly for the SAT, math, and chemistry) and an assistant to the "Next Big Hit" family of podcasts.
A huge sports fan, god of cyanide lives and dies with the New York Yankees, New York Jets, and New Jersey Devils. His love of sports has led to a lifelong addiction to the Strat-O-Matic family of cards-and-dice-based sports games. He has run two 100-win SOM baseball teams, and has had one no-hitter, pitched by Ben Sheets (2004), against his arch-nemesis in his league. Members of his league have often accused him of using a weighted/altered 20-sided die, as he can pull off a string of 1's at the most inopportune times for his opponents, though such alterations have never been definitively proven.

god of cyanide started playing Magic at the young age of 29, just prior to the release of the Legions expansion. His first contact with Magic was actually shortly after the release of Alpha; the clerk at his favorite gaming store (since closed) tried to sell him on it. When he figured out that you had to buy a lot of cards to be able to be good at it, his first thought was, "There's no way this will be successful." Years later, he buys way too many Magic cards, and is becoming moderately successful at the game.

god of cyanide's user name comes from the song "New Millenium Cyanide Christ", by Meshuggah, the video for which can be found on his MySpace page. "Disciples, come join with me / to save a failed humanity / Follow the god of cyanide / into the new eternity."
god of cyanide does not like that the MTGS Wiki auto-capitalizes the initial letter of his username, and has a strong distaste for people who complain about his lack of capitalization in his posts on MTGS, especially considering his grammar is otherwise near-perfect. He also disapproves of his real name being used in conjunction with the name "god of cyanide", although it should be quite easy to make the connections, if one so cares.
He also likes to write autobiographies in the third person, in lieu of sleep.
