Furor is a former MTG Salvation global moderator. Prior to his departure, due to a lack of interest in posting, he was a very active member, especially in the Debate sub-forum of the Outside Magic forum, where he often deliberated and defended Christianity, among other scholarly concerns.

[edit] Online activity
At the 2005 Forum Awards, Furor was honoured with the title of Best Debater of the Year, as well as a nomination for the prestigious accolade of "Member of the Year".
[edit] Moderatorship
In December, he was added to the MTG Salvation staff as the moderator of the Clans forum and later, upon the resignation of Laika, Outside Magic (Water Cooler Talk and Debate).
[edit] Clan affiliation
As a forum member, he has an amiable rapport with most members, is forbearing, and has a rather eccentric, sarcastic sense of humor. He is a member of the Ivory Tower clan.
[edit] Other activity
Furor used to be known as "Gisgo" at the MiseTings[1] (where he had a total of six gimmick accounts;[2] Grisgo, Heart Attack, Kate, Keira, Angelina, and Darwin)[3] and MTGNews fora; during his stay at MTG Salvation, or even prior to his arrival, he apparently affected a different personality, from "a laid-back porn-posting[4][5][6] n00b-flaming Gisgo to the best-debator MTGS-posting Furor", as expressed by no less a member than kingcobweb.[7] It is also said that Furor, and Gisgo, was full of angst, especially prior to his moderator days.
[edit] Biography
Nick Milne used to play Magic; he did not stop until November, 2004, and did not stop thinking about the game until some time after that.[8]
Milne is an alumnus of the University of Western Ontario, Canada, where, in 2007, he completed his five-year undergraduate BA, majoring in English, with "great results, now going back for the MA with a fat government grant to boot".[9] Of life post-graduation, Milne writes that "Writing has finally become rewarding, I've made dozens and dozens of friends in the past few months, got a girlfriend, lost weight, read more than I used to, watched more films than I used to, and on the whole am in very fine fettle indeed. Things are looking up."[9]
[edit] Personal life
Of how he met his girlfriend, he writes that "The story, unfortunately, is lame in a way that only the internet has made possible. We didn't actually "meet," in any formal sense; a mutual friend was gushing about how wonderful I was and so she (the girlfriend, not the mutual friend) added me on Facebook. We noted certain mutualities of interest (Catholic theology, literary theory, C.S. Lewis, comic books - this latter feature is a rare and wonderful one in a lady) and began corresponding. The formal meeting took place a few days later, and the rest has worked out quite well indeed. She's a drummer in her spare time and a high school teacher in training by profession. She did two theses in the last year of her undergrad (rather than none, which is the norm); one on the heretical leanings of Milton's De Doctrina Christiana, one on the physiology of the Risen Christ. She's a go-getter and an overachiever and a delight."[10]
Nick is Catholic, having converted in his teens.[11]
[edit] Blogs
Furor has also kept his own blog; "A Gentle Fuss", which is of rather peculiar nature; it has been described as "an example of why blogs are cool", by the user Cyan (who is a moderator at MTGNews), who also said that "I felt that that was just because you, as a person, are a rarity, and as such your blog probably is as well". On June 1, 2008, Nick retired "A Gentle Fuss"; since then he has been maintaining "The Daily Kraken".
Furor has also kept "Snaps or Craps: We are Better than You", a site where he and two of his high-school friends, "Doug" and "Adam", posted material that, as he recalls, "made us the popes of high school".
Nowadays, Furor maintains a weblog, "The Daily Kraken".
