For a soul wrapped in somber gray, such moments are a rebirth, shedding us to ash and rekindling us in the fires of life. I have had such a moment, and I am anew. Though this solemn veil that I had adorned for so long shall never be cast aside, there is a light now that rescinds such to a memory and subtle reminder.

I have stood in the light, and been changed by it forever. While one might say that I have found love, I would be quick to correct them - I have found life. I am still Feyd; I am still a creature of shadow. But such is tucked away out of sight, as my life is filled with the joys and happiness that a family brings.

I rarely speak of my life and who I am outside of a couple of close friends on here. There are only about three of you that even know my real name. So I shall give you all a parting gift: simple truth.

I moved in with my love and our three kids (though not their father, and never attempting to replace such, I claim them as mine all the same). My life is filled with the joy and happiness I have long craved. Those who knew me knew that I was a somber soul, but no longer. I feel alive.

My retirement is not just from the position here, but from the magic community as a whole really. I'll still pop my head in from time to time, but I simply no longer have the time nor drive for all this. My family fills any and all voids that this use to occupy. I have one or two projects I'll probably still work on, but overall I'm retiring from everything.

I give no list of thank yous or kudos. I give no final words or fond lines to friends. Each need not be listed, for those who would receive them should already know they are given.
