Stan has been building video games as a hobby since the age of seven, initially working on the Commodore VIC-20, then on the PC using QuickBASIC and Klik & Play, and finally into college where he learned C++ and 3D programming. He has hundreds of hobby projects under his belt, including Rinth Island 3D Demo and the in-progress GemRogue.
In June of 2009, Stan won Microsoft's Dobbs Challenge Deuce Silverlight game development contest with BlockRogue, a procedurally generated, Sokoban-like puzzle game.

[edit] Debate
Stan's MTG Salvation activity has been limited almost exclusively to the debate subforums. There he is one of the most prominent Christian apologists, but with a unique and nuanced set of beliefs, including:
- Theism
- Prima Scriptura (as opposed to sola Scriptura)
- Theistic evolution
- Local-scope Noachic Deluge
- Functionalism
- Determinism and Deterministic Compatibilism
- "Imperics," a metaethical system derived from consequentialism
- Tempered political secularism
Stan was voted MTG Salvation's Best Debater of 2008.
[edit] Good Gamery
Stan is the head administrator at the Magic humor site Good Gamery, where he is known as "paz" -- this stands for "Pagans & Zealots," his first card game creation. He is the lead moderator, a frequent content contributor, and custodian of the self-updating Magic web comic, Pro MTG Online.
