Cylia was a female elf shaman of Alara who during the Sundering tried to challenge Progenitus in order to stop this event. Although she was blinded by him, she managed to stab him and force him to assume the form of a hydra avatar, and saved all life of Alara, although it was already separated into the Shards.
As a consequence of her actions, she gained a connection with Progenitus and the ability to sense magic. These two traits are passed on to all other Animas of the now-called Cylian elves of Naya.
