Creature descriptions

As creatures are mainly used in battle, they are usually rated on their performance in battle. Outside of the battle, and ignoring summoning sickness, they are often no different then enchantments or artifacts.

[edit] Battle-wise

[edit] Defensive

When a creature is defensive, it has zero or low power, especially when compared to its toughness.

[edit] Balanced

When a creature is balanced, it usually has the same power and toughness. This isn't true for 0/0's

  • These are usually Black, Green or Blue.
    • Green will usually have high #', and trample.
    • Blue will usually have low #'s, but will be efficient in its mana cost and have abilities like flying and shadow.
    • Black will also have low #'s, but will have abilities like fear or shadow or static and triggered abilities.

[edit] Offensive

When a creature is offensive, it will have a higher power than toughness.

  • These are usually red creatures. These may also (or instead) have haste, first strike and/or trample.
