Agrus Kos is a strong supporter of the law. Kos was orphaned at a young age and always idolized the Wojek, an organization he would later join.
Kos epitomizes the tough "street cop" archetype, complete with a drinking problem and a distaste for rookies. He was told by one of the Wojek healers that he was incapable of magically healing any of his wounds; to do so would mean certain death via a massive heart attack, due to the immense build-up of healing mana in his body from a lifetime of using teardrops to heal wounds quickly. Following the death of his de facto partner Bell Borca, Kos began an investigation outside the Wojek sanctions with his new partner Feather, this would lead to his arrest of Szadek, who was trying to destroy the Guildpact.
After retiring from the Wojeks, Kos became an Orzhov security guard in the Utvara Reclamation Zone, where he became involved in an Izzet plot. In the end, he died due to the use of a teardrop given to him by Crix to save him from fatal wounds, as she was unaware of his condition.
His spirit was forced to serve as an Azorius spirit guard, but Grand Arbiter Augustin IV granted him the opportunity to help them stop Szadek in his attempt to break the Guildpact. After saving all of Ravnica, his spirit was brought back by Feather, who recruited him as a spirit officer for the Wojek in the newly-created spectral land of Agyrem.

Kos' name means "blackbird" in Czech, Polish and Serbo-Croatian, but is related also to mow or scythe.
