This article is about the current, second incarnation of clan [499]. For the first incarnation, see 499.

[499] is a MTG Salvation clan that was initially led by Wessel and Glamdring the Banhammer (then known as Glamdring_the_Foehammer); later, when Wessel stepped down, it was led by Magic Mage and Glamdring the Banhammer; and now, after Magic Mage stepped down, Glamdring the Banhammer is the sole leader. The only requirement for membership was possession of at least 499 posts; this requirement no longer exists in the second coming of the clan.

Currently, it is in in its second incarnation, having returned on 29 August, 2008; almost 499 days after the clan's closure.

On 11 July, 2007, with a measly 301 posts in its last thread, "We Know [499] Ways to Steal Your Soul!", [499] was closed, in large part due to "the exodus".

On 29 August, 2008, [499] was "reborn" and Wessel created the first clan [499] thread, "We left for [499] days, only to come back stronger!" since the clan's closure; thus began phase three of Wessel's plan, "Phoenix".
